Who are we
Nisaharan Srikandarajah
Nish is a clinical research fellow at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and a PhD student at the University of Liverpool, UK. He has been recruited for this project. He is a speciality trainee in Neurosurgery and has experience working in a centre which manages patients with Cauda Equina Syndrome.
Mr Martin Wilby
Martin is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. He is currently running a multi-centre sciatica trial and involved in care of CES patients.
Mr Simon Clark
Simon is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and the clinical lead for spinal surgery at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. He is currently running a multi-centre sciatica trial and involved in the care of CES patients.
Dr Adam Noble
Dr Adam Noble is a psychological sciences lecturer at the University of Liverpool who has an extensive study portfolio of exploring psychological and social challenges of people with neurological difficulties and their families.
Professor Paula Williamson
Professor Paula Williamson chairs the management group for the Core Outcomes Measures in Effectiveness Trials (COMET) initiative, which encourages core outcome set development through patient and public involvement worldwide. She has unique experience of producing successful core outcome sets in different disease areas to be used in healthcare and public settings.
Professor Tony Marson
Professor Tony Marson is the Professor of Neurology and has engaged with patients and the public in many high-profile epilepsy research studies including randomised multicentre trials, national/international service evaluations.

Ethics and Funding
REC and HRA approval was obtained for the Delphi process and consensus meeting from North West- Greater Manchester Central Research Ethics Committee. REC reference was 18/NW/0022.

Nish has successfully obtained 3-year funding from The Royal College of Surgeons of England and The Walton Centre Research Funds by competitive shortlisting and interviews. This was to undertake this project.
